This little Cherry Shave is 9 1/2” long by 7/8” wide with a 1 3/4” iron taken from an old broken shave I picked up off Ebay for a couple bucks. I use cocobolo for the bearing plate in front of the iron to make up for the softness of the cherry. I figure it will hold up a lot longer under the abuse it will see. the finish is Watco Danish Oil 3 coats and then burnished with 0000 steel wool to soften the look.. its a nice little shave that takes a nice fine cut, will be great to use as the last shave when finishing up a project.. thanks for looking..
I had to do something between all the grease and wrenches lately so I made some tools.. never have enough tools.. Papa

It looks real nice Papa. Nice work. Glad you’re making saw dust again.

Nice work on the spokeshave Papa … glad to hear you put the wrenches down for a bit.

This is really nice Papa! Love this shave. Was not sure if you ever got these lathe shots, so if not hope this is of some help!

All the best,

Joe
