I cut this tree down about a 1.5 years ago and final cut it into something more useful than fire wood. I think it is rock maple (sugar maple?) Mortise and tenon stretcher, dowels for the seat top, polyurethane glue and spar varnish to finish. Now I have a place to contemplate my next project in peace :)
