At 22×44 this little writing desk is very functional. I always thought desks should be bigger, but this one proves me wrong. Plenty of space and a single drawer.
Notice the bread board ends with walnut plugs.
Seems that quartersawn oak has great variability in grain pattern and ray and flake are NOT a guaranteed feature…duh, but I was surprised to have such difficulty in finding great ray and flake. This desk has almost none.
I stained it with a fruitwood oil stain as I do not love oak.
Enjoy.
