This table was built for one of my wife’s quilting friends who was looking for a table to cut her fabric on that would also provide storage. It is made of 1/4 sawn white oak with side panels of red oak ply. Top is a 1/4 sawn white oak veneered MDF. The drawers are all 26” deep with over-travel ball bearing slides. It is 36” deep at top by 72” long, setting 36” high. The design is my own. I did not use the pictures of it in her home as she is in the process of remodeling and would not appreciate those shown to the world. The finish is a hand rubbed oil/poly blend with 7 coats.
Update: I have broken down and added one shot of cabinet in her home showing the top. She asks that you do not look at the carpet! . . . . . . REALLY!

Looks like an excellent table with storage for a quilter.

Beautiful piece. Very nice design. I’ve done some quilting before and would have loved a table like/buffet like this. M glad my mom doesn’t get on LJ’S…. She’d be wanting one of these.
Great job!

looks really nice…. would like to hear some details of how you built up the top…. did you buy veneer or cut it yourself.

Thank you all,
For the top I purchased a 3/4” MDF core ply that was faced with spliced 1/4 sawn white oak. It is framed in 2” wide white oak.
