These are two valentines I made for my wife. The hinged heart was last years and the arrow was this years.
Sorry it took so long to get them posted. I check this site about every day to see what creative craftmanship
people are doing. Its awesome.

Oh, those are so sweet. I am certain they are among her most treasured posessions. Someday (soon?) I am gong to try a wood hinge – they are something special. What tools did you use to build each?

The hinged one was with bandsaw, drillpress and dremel for engraving.
For other one… Bandsaw, drillpress to help knockout some of the center and a couple carving tools.
I’m just a beginner at carving. Right now I’m working on a ball-n-cage. That’s a lot more time consuming than those hearts!
