Well, I did it I bought a Leigh Dovetail Jig. You know it’s one of those items that you think you just can’t do without. I decide that if I was going to spend that kind of money I might as well make a box to hold all the miscellaneous items in and if I’m going to make a box I had better carve on it so I know what is in it. The box is make from butternut wood and was stained after it was carved. I made the finger joints on the box with the finger joint extra attachment for the Leigh jig.

It didn’t with mine. Do you still have the jig in the cardboard box. But, the acessories in your pretty new one. And what are you going to do when you purchase all of the isolock attachments?

Beautiful box, but where are the dovetails? It is a dovetail jig, isn’t it? LOL.

Awesome storage box for your Leigh Dovetail Jig accessories. You should send a photo to the folks at Leigh. For some reason my Leigh FMT Jig did not come with such a box . . .

yah “I think I’ll just make a box for this”.... uh huh… do you have anything around your house that hasn’t been turned into art??

(Hey, Os… that’s a good question!!!)
Rog.. you might want to make another box, using the jig, before showing the company

You (and several other Jocks) really make me wish I knew how to carve. I bought a book on it, but am only 1/2 way thru it in over a year of reading!!!!! Too many irons in the fire right now to finish the book and buy the tools to apply the techniques.

Show Leigh the box and tell them that your Jig has not shown up yet, and ask them why not. Or maybe offer them a trade. You’ll trade the box (which they can use for their anniversary Special Edition Model) for the jig.

A nice box! Now that you have one for the accessories, what about a box for storing the jig? Afterall, isn’t it worth protecting too? Maybe one that opens up and folds out into a table for using your jig?
