A real quick sign for a friend’s daughter who is showing cattle. Rough oak with BLO finish. Hand routed letters with black spray paint in the letters. No sand paper used, just planes and card scraper on the front and back. Horrible grain changes in the oak. I counted five grain reversals in just one board!
The unbalanced open area at the bottom is for displaying the names of the cattle. This should be a big surprise this afternoon.
I tried photos with and without lighting.
Thanks for looking. BTKS

Nice. Is it freehand?

Jack,
Yes it was freehand. I left the table plate on the router to provide a large stable base but I didn’t remember the inner spacer ring pops out until I started on the word cattle. If that were stincle lettering I would have started over. We’ll call this attempt “RUSTIC.”
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Nice job on your last sign posting.
Later, BTKS

Looks too purty for the country… ;0) You should see mine. Looks like something done after a 6-pack!
