Good looking piece of Burl. The finish came out really nice on it. Nice piece.

beautiful turning. How does the CA go on? Do you put on the CA the spray on the hardner? I’d really like to know, I have’nt seen a turning with a finish quite that nice. mike

mike, the CA is nothing more than superglue. I place a paper towel under the piece and with the lathe running [SLOWLY]. Drizzle it on and towel it smooth. cant spend a lot of time as it dries real quick! its the same finish I use on pens but doing anything larger than a pen is tricky. it takes about 6 coats then micromesh till you get the finish like you like it. 1500-12000 grit. try not to sand through the CA. that candle holder is about at the limit for this type of finish and I recoment some practice on several smaller items before attempting it on something this large.
