I finally wrapped this one up….
Blogged about it here....
I modified an open source design I downloaded off the web and used mostly extra MDF scavanged from a project finished long ago at work, which I bought on the cheap…
I started on the build years back, collecting materials and had most of the MDF cut to size, but I stalled when I had to give up my basement shop to store furniture when my mother-in-law sold her house. Now that I’ve set up a new basement shop, it was time to resurect this project.
The Bench is really heavy and solid… using a 1” MDF top with laminate on both sides and banded with solid wood.
Time to get organized!

I sure is nice to have lots of drawers. I will be back working on mine as soon as the Olympics are over.

That looks heavy duty! And you can store stuff between the “joists” during a project (like clamps). Excellent ideas there.

great looking bench. You certainly have lots of storage, which is always in short supply and a very solid looking bench.

Well done ! I also like the under-top storage areas : )

Nice to have all that additional storage, huh? Congrats on making the Daily Top 3!

I started filling more drawers tonight…. I’m going to use a label maker to ID contents… They all look alike
