This isn’t really MY project but I thought that I would share it anyway. This is a racecar that my son made. He just completed it today. He found the idea in a book on building Pinewood Derby cars.
The body is from a chunk of 2×4. We had some leftover wheels from a handful of Christmases ago and used those. This car wasn’t supposed to be a racer so we used wooden wheels and axles. He did all the work himself except for cutting the 2×4 into a blank the size needed for the car. He used the scroll saw to cut out the basic profile and used files and sandpaper to shape and smooth it.
