So I have been looking on here and it seemed like one common thing is that people have is their own zero clearance insert. I didnt want to buy one, so I made one!

Looks like a one-eyed Sasquatch. Looks like it’ll take you through hundreds and hundreds of board feet of wood, but where’s the other eye? And the nose? Shouldn’t it look more like this: ?

I made mine out of maple, drilled 3/16 holes, tapped them with 1/4-20 threads and added set screws to level it. works great. I don’t ever see me buying one. (well….that picture is pitiful…anyone know how to make it larger?)
