I think you did pretty well here. One thing you could try next time is to hollow out the letters and fill them with paint and then seal it too. That is another way to do it.

Do you mean like you would with epoxy? (I have seen some of the wood turners do that~~doing inlay work)
I did do the letters besides the ‘Warning’ as ‘inset’ letters and then painted them~ and then seal it.

On the last pic … is the W in worth upside down?

I like it a lot better than the last sign.

Since it is better than anything I can do, all I can say is good job!

@ Sval~~no~ it izzzz’ aint~ I see what you mean as to it looking like it could be backwards/ and or Up Side Down, but it is right. ( I wouldnt post a word that started with “W”......(worth, ) and make it “morth”) (IS THAT EVEN A WORD?~~~”Morth”) I would have ‘proofed’ it enough prior to me putting it on the WWW. to know I put a ‘W’~~and not a ‘M’.~
