The one thing that I never really though of until just now is that this wood actually came out of one of our local to my home town family cemetery, what better fitting then a cross made from it.

I’m reluctant to tell any of my customers that my spalted hackberry came from a cemetery, I made that mistake once and lost a sell they thought the box would be hunted. shrugs

WoW Randy, that is a very lovely box…I love the wood and the design. That base makes it look very sturdy. You sure are having fun with these aren’t you.

Randy that is a great lookin box

It sure has an interesting connection

I’m bad. First thing I thought was

where is he going to fit his secret drawer?

You did not let me down, there it was.

A Celtic Cross would be fun with all the circles

This is my favorite of all your bandsaw projects to date. The whole project is beautiful but the sculpted base puts it over the top for me. It will be hard to top this one.
