Found this old metal bench so I sandblasted and painted it and put new wood around.(cypress)the wife is going to put it on her mother’s grave site.it should last awhile.

Very nice redo on that bench. The cypress should last a lifetime!!

I have four benches to rebuild…again. This time i plan on using cypress instead of oak. I hope they come out as nice as yours. I am sure others have the same problem as the original wood for these benches turns to dust fairly quickly.
