This is my first LJ project posting! I would have put a few up sooner, but until they fix the iPad photo upload problem with a simple solution, I’m limited to doing it when I have a few minutes in the office. So the trays are about 13”x13” (sized to maximize my use of scrap material they’re made from but still fit a large dinner plate). The wife asked for a couple trays to give away at a bridal shower. She’s filling them with wine and chocolates. Anyway, they are 1/2” oak plywood bottoms, 3/4” oak sides. The handles are some scrap black walnut cutoffs. Finish is Early American (lighter) and Michael’s Cherry with a few quick coats of spray gloss lacquer. Took me about 3 hours total, including sanding and finishing.

Nice job and your trays show the grain well. I understand about trays and wives since mine has be building trays for wedding gifts to family and friends. Welcome to L.J.
