bow box #2 and #3

Both boxes are roughly 6×6 x 3 made from lacewood and gummy cherry. The first box has a maple/purple heart bow and the second has a yellowheart/purpleheart bow. I mostly wanted to work out hinging with a bow attached, and it ended up being easier than I expected.

Wish it always worked out that way.

Great boxes, great craftsmanship, and GREAT lacewood. I’m envious.

That is one of the neatest boxes I have seen. Great workmanship.

I like it!!!! I just worked with lacewood for the first time. Minus the splinters, I really enjoyed working with it. I like the bows. You did a nice job with them.

No kidding about the splinters… all I have to do is look at it and I get one.

Bill, this is exceptional work. I like both the design and wood selection. This concept improved with each version. Adding hinges makes it much more useful and salable. Thanks for sharing this with us…splinters and all. This would make a lovely box for a gift or ring.
