I made this project for my mom as she required a new cutting board in the kitchen. After speaking to her she gave me the design specs and so on. So I got out to the workshop and started cutting some wood and as with all end grain cutting boards there is a lot of gluing and cutting to be done and after a few days the main part was done. I finished the cutting board with a product from my local finishing supply shop which is specially designed to kill bacteria while still giving the wood a slight sheen. Then applying some rubber feet to the bottom to stop it sliding around. It has been in use for a couple months and has survived so far.

Good job ! Going the end grain route is harder but I am sure it will serve your Mom well for many years.

Nice job. I bet your mom was thrilled.
