Mark, I think it looks pretty darn good. As you noted in your blog there may be mistakes in it that you will always see but others will look right past them. Just view them as reminders of the lessons learned.

Very nicely done Mark. I must warn you though that you are starting down a long winding road. After the first project is done, you only want to do more. Keep up the good work and enjoy.

Nice job. What did it take you, a day, two? I didn’t think so. These boxes can test every skill you’ve got, and use up a lot of time in the process. Keep the chips flying, Mark.

Hi Mark,
I had to look at your blog first. This is a beautiful stationery box. The inlay and the cove details add visual interest to the box’s construction.
This was not an easy build but you did well.
Thanks for the post.

That’s a lot of joints for a first box. You did a great job. I bet you pondered a bit on the glue-up process.
Looking forward to more from you, Mark.

Hi Mark, your writing box looks really nice. I like how you put the inlay around the outer edge, curious how’d ya do it, did you use router or table saw. I also like the cove edged beading around the bottom edge. Keep the projects coming, your doing Great.
