Scrap walnut?...Check.
Scrap walnut?...Check. No picture No picture No picture No picture No picture
Zoom Pictures

Glue?...check.
Clamps?...check
Shellac?...check.
Frustration with expensive Figured Sapele twisting after resaw on the TS?...check.

Voila…a mallet.

Not sure what I’m going to do with it but surely all wood shops need a homemade mallet, right?

That works. Good use of what could end up as scrap wood.

Alexandre – Not as heavy as I thought it would turn out. Less than a pound in my estimation…without actually weighing it.

UPDATE: I used it last night to smash M&Ms in a ziploc bag to sprinkle on vanilla ice cream. I am happy to report that it handled the job very well!
