The wood was available from a church parking lot with a free sign on it. Unfortunately I only picked up two pieces as the wood was starting to get dry and split. Turned it rough and let it dry for about 5 months before finishing. It is 3.5 by 8 inches and finished with three coats of General Finishes salad bowl finish. I really like the grain pattern on the sides which are so different.

Nice bowl. I have a couple of green turned ash bowls waiting for me in the shop, just have to find the time to finish them.

Nice bowls. I agree about the grain.
