Here is a pirate ship made for my 4-year-old grandson. He wanted a “skeleton ship” for his Lego guys. I didn’t have a pirate ship, I didn’t want to pay $29.99 to buy an official Lego model. So I went to the Girls Shop and made this one. It is not very complicated, but I think just right for little hands. The yellow and black “dragon” is a stegosaurus toy dinosaur filling in as a dragon. I made several toy triceratops for my grandchildren at Easter, and now I made a stegosaurus for my nephew.

The pirate ship was made without benefit of plans. The stegosaurus was made from plans created by David Wakefield.

Cool. And, if you had ever run into a Stegosaurus, back in the day, it could have been every bit as much trouble, breathing fire or not. Even though H.Sap doesn’t quite overlap with the dinos, evolutionarily speaking.

Have your say...
