Been a while sice I’ve been around. Hope you don’t hold it against me. Thought I’d reintroduce myself with a project I finished and delivered a few months ago.

After finding myself back on my own again work wise, I decided to make a cedar toy chest for the grandkids, Dario and Elena. Looks like the chest is a hit.

As you can tell by the first few pictures you just can’t have to many clamps. Thanks to Sketchup and Matthias Wandel’s Big Print program I was able to know just what I was getting into before I started.

The material came from a score back in ‘09, last pic, that I wondered if I’d ever find a project for. The redwood in the pic is now a laundry door waiting for final assembly.

Sometimes life has to happen before you get an idea, like these two critters coming along.

howdy there bob, sure glad to see your still kickin…what a beautiful chest you made for them grand babys…the top is really nice, a real chest has those tops, i made one for my daughter in law but no curved top…you did a great job, glad to see you here…everything is fine…the same things happen now and they did back then, there is always the good and some of the bad, i just keep my head in the sand and stay away from anything but wood work…it keeps my nose clean, and me out of trouble…hope to see ya around …take care buddy…oh and you have me clean, im clean shaven thee days…so you win…lol…..grizz
