Attached are photos of the play fridge and stove I recently made for the kids. The have seen a lot of play time. I am working on improving the designs so that I can release some plans on how to make them.

Kurtis,

I made a compact kitchen for my daughter, who is now a mother of two. Plans will probably sell if you have ever priced the pla$tic unit$! Good luck!

I called it compact as had an oven, refrigerator, sink, and cabinets all in one unit. I used a square baking pan for the sink, red Plexiglas for the stove burners that would light up with the control knobs, and sliding cabinet doors so they couldn’t break any hinges. Back then high power LEDs were not available as yet so I used automotive lamps but never ran them at full power to keep them from getting too hot.

When my daughter outgrew it I gave it to one of my female co-workers who had a younger child and was expecting her second.

What a great idea and very well made too, The children that get to play with them will build lasting memories.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

-Oldnovice, it sounds as though you made a pretty great play kitchen yourself. If you ever happen to find pictures I would love to see them.

-Exelectrician, I hope the toys last a long time. My mother-in-law still has the play kitchen set that her uncle made for her when she was a small girl. Now her grandchildren are playing with the same kitchen set whenever they come visit.
