Since I had made my son a new headboard, I decided he needed a nightstand. This was more of a challenge thatn I origonally thought. This was my first project that had a door and a drawer. The plans called for half blind dovetails, I ruined that. Then I tried regualr dove tails, ruined that. Finally I just made a box with pocket screws and decided I need a lot of practice on dovetails. I really enjoy my router table after this project.

I feel your pain, Bill. There are a lot of things in woodworking that turn out to be harder than anticipated. Difficulties are just learning experiences, though, and I’ve had LOTS of them. :-)

Don’t worry about it Bill. I still can’t handcut dovetails well, and I’ve tried a lot.

Have your say...
