Last fall my oldest left for college ad took his bed with him. We had an extra bedframe so my wife gave me the idea of making a headboard. This is my first attempt of creating something without a pattern. I sketched it out and used my other sons headboard for measurements. I really put my router table to good use on this project, also I used pocket screws for the first time. Anyway, he loves his new headboard when he comes home for food and money.

Bill, very nice job, like the grain selection. i see you had to modify at the end for the iron bedrails. Been there / Done that.

Very Nice job, Now he owns you for a bed board as well. Does it never end. At least he does his own laundry.

Hi Bill,
This is a nice headboard and I was about to comment on the nightstand until I checked the posting list. This is a nice straight forward design.
Thanks for the post.
