My Sister who lives 1500 miles away from me, makes me “Smile Boxes” of her Gran Kids & e-mails them to me, I don’t know how to do those kind of smile boxes so thought i would make her a smile box of my version. I am sure she will like it, although it may be a crying box when she first gets it. The box is made from the most beautiful piece of Cherry I have ever seen (bought out of the scrap bin) with a touch of sapwood on the edges which I really like. the lid is Walnut with a Paduk medallion insert. The inside divider is Cherry, & the splines are Paduk & Walnut to match the lid. The box is 12 X 7 by 3 3/4 deep. The finish is Deft spray can Lacquer. I think this is one of the best looking boxes I have made….................................Jack

TNX looks like an “Andy Art box..”
He would appreciate this..
Those of us who make these I feel ought to give Andy all the Credit we can.
He started it all.
TNX for sharing and it is one fine looking box.

Very nice all the way around. That cherry is stunningly beautiful. Great job.
