this is my new acorn shaped birdhouse. I have wanted to make this for a long time. I had a cedar 2×8 left over from the settee my son and I made earlier this year. I am not real happy about the shape but I am still learning to turn. It is made for a wren. The plans are from a very old Wood magazine. It is about 11 1/2” long and 7” in diameter. I am going to give this to my brother for his birthday. Any comments or advice would be appreciated

Sometimes you feel like a nut…........... I think it’s awesome! If I were a bird, I’d rent it, maybe even buy it. Mortgage rates r low right now

Great job. Been thinking of making one sort of like this myself. I too am pretty new at wood turning, and find I really enjoy it more than just normal wood work.
