Jewelry box for my bride of 50 years. Sides are similar to a raised panel kitchen cabinet door. Pocket screws were used where ever possible. Sealed it, then used golden oak stain and Helmsman spar urethane. Draw handles were selected from the picture I used as a guide. I shortened the box from 10 draws to 5 and did not make the legs the picture had as it was (I thought) grossly over sized. This one is 18×15x15. My wife cut the felt for the inside of the draws – perfect fit. I made points once again….

Don, nice job. Seems sturdy and well proportioned. Looks like it will hold plenty of jewelry…you may have to buy more soon. Wish we could see a picture of the insides of the drawers. How did you work the slides? Keep boxing and keep posting.

Nice box, great job and great finish too. I’m in need of a nice fine drawing tool chest in my shop. I think I just found what it will look like! Thank you for posting.
Best,
Serge

Thanks Bricofleur. Friends of ours are surveyors by trade. They have a box that is 12 drawers tall and at least 70” wide for computer drawn land surveys. Looks very much like this style.

Boxguy: I just made flat square supports. So the drawer separator goes all the way to the back.

Fine looking craftsmanship sir. And, 50 years! AWESOME that some folks still manage to keep it going… I am heading towards 26 years and would not change a thing.
