Just another-”Necessity is the mother of….”-thing. My studio/apartment in NYC is low on space so I figured my Technics would get more use if they were floating on the wall, rather, than if in storage. Stand- by for my twist on the Murphy Bed. The surfaces are ply. Structure is mild steel. Opened up the wall and reinforced the metal studs with recycled 2×4’s. Actually this whole project and every other I do or have done is almost always using 100% salvaged or recycled materials. The inner workings are a bit chaotic looking, I know. But I just grabbed whatever was hanging around to reinforce the wall-also typical of me, it makes it more fun that way. And also would like to add that this is the first time I have floated anything… thanks for viewing and your feedback, or suggestions for myself and others that are planning to do something similar, Jay.
