My 4th project.

I over estimated how much lumber I needed for my friend’s adirondack chairs, so I decided to build 2 side tables to somewhat match the chairs I built for him.

You can’t tell it from the pics, but the table tops are a slotted type. This was my first mortise and tenon project. I was planning on having the tenons protrude the mortises, but I couldn’t get it to look right. I just sanded them flush.

Like the chairs, I used tung oil as a finish.

Very nice tables. The through tenons add a nice detail to the tables as well. I think what you did with them looks fine. It adds an interesting element to the legs.

Nice job.

It looks great as is. You did an excellent job. I take it he was pleased with the work?
