I took a pickle jar and cut the inner part of the lid out with my scroll saw then filed the edges smooth. I put the lid where I wanted the hole to be on the front board then traced the lid with a pen then drilled a hole inside the circle and cut the circle out with my scroll saw. I fit the lid inside the board I just cut out then hammered some small nails inside the lid to hold it to the board. I built a frame like box for the squirrels to walk into and they stick their bodies in the jar and pull out the food into the box part and eat . the jar just unscrews from the lid to refill the food when empty. I plan on buying some tie down straps to hold this feeder to a tree but for now it sits on a plant pot with a screw holding it to it. It has been a blast watching the squirrels eat from this project I made. This feeder is easy to clean when it gets dirty.
Thanks for looking.

I have a bunch of squirrel feeders, my fruit trees and garden, the little buggers are worse than locusts. Can you design a model with a guillotine? :)

Keep feeding them, maybe mine will come to your house once they’ve cleaned me out, :)
