Here are a couple of pics of my first guitar build. The center strip is paduk sandwiched between walnut.

I really like the look of walnut and paduk. I am sure that the finished piece is going to be gorgeous.

I made one out of door skins (1/8 inch luan) when I was 18. No guidence, I just made it, and it sounds like it too. Paduak looks great, but does darken sometimes. It looks like it will sound great.
