Here are a couple of pics of my first guitar build. The center strip is paduk sandwiched between walnut.

I really like the look of walnut and paduk. I am sure that the finished piece is going to be gorgeous.

Looking great. I’ve always wanted to do one myself. I’ll be watching your progress.

I made one out of door skins (1/8 inch luan) when I was 18. No guidence, I just made it, and it sounds like it too. Paduak looks great, but does darken sometimes. It looks like it will sound great.

This must be quite a challenge. I can’t wait to see the finished project.

I have the top attached and the binding of the body is completed Stew. I’ve spent the summer making furniture to keep my wife happy while I make guitars. I will post progress on my first one as I once again dive into jig making to work on the neck. As soon as I get some more time I will post pics of the tables that I built to match the entertainment console.

Stay tuned!

Looks great! I haven’t tried an acoustic yet, but I’ve built several electrics.

I have an 8 string Uke that I need to repair that I’ll use as a test.
