Spalted maple from a tree we cut in the front yard and walnut. Oil and wax finish. Designed to match the candleholder.

Nice design! I like the way the spalted maple and walnut go together. It’s had to tell the size of the trivet from the photo.

Thanks. The maple yellowed more than I’d wish, should have finished it in lacquer. The walnut was actually sap wood scraps with an ugly yellowish color so I used a walnut stain to brown them. The spalted maple pieces are 6.5” wide.
