I made this bowl a while back, Its made from a piece of willow burl and finished with tung oil. A friend of mine let me roam through her woods with a chain saw (not sure that was smart) when i came across an old willow that had blown down in a storm. I caught it before it started to rot to bad, the burl was so big i had to make slice cuts to get it all off the trunk. Ive made a few projects with the wood so far. This was the first.

I like walking through the woods looking for wood. I also drive the city streets looking for dead trees. I have cut some willow and it has really nice wood. You did a really nice job.
