This cane is made from one piece of black walnut. The naturl shape of the wood was almost perfectly formed into a dogs head. I used minwax clear stain for most of it, with joacoa bean for the nose and mouth detail. I made this for a friend who loves pitbulls.

Looks like a dead ringer to me. Your orientation of the piece os spot on, youve got a good eye.

Thank you chrisstef. I was just going off a picture to place the eyes. I got very lucky this piece of wood was probably 80% shaped already, all I had to do was clean up the lines and round it some. :)
