I just got back from vacation in Hawaii. I got a chance to go to Martin and MacArthur and Hawaiian Accessories. Both stores sell a lot of koa pieces. I really like that wood. Your box is excellent. Good grain flow, contrasting pieces for inlay and craftsmanship!

Great looking box Joseph. We had a party last night and a friend brought me two hand made boxes filled with shaper and cutter heads from the 50’s and said to give him a call today because he knew of someone that was “Giving away” Koa….you bet I will call him today.

Your correct, we are lucky to live here in the Islands….and being able to get Koa is just one perk…plenty of others as well. I like your part of Canada also….very pretty

Thank you for the comments

We are all very lucky here for koa that we can use in woodworking.Unfortunatley the unsustainable logging currently going on and in the past has caused to many problems for the current market to expand to its potential.

Beautifully made and beautifull wood.
