We were lucky to find our own Lumberjock, Jeffro, in his new gallery, CURRENT SEA, in Westport, WA last week. He has a wonderful display of his art, along with work by other local artists.
Jeffro was creating a new piece, bringing a Great Blue Heron out of a huge piece of cedar driftwood. He has a great talent in bringing life out of what appears to be dead wood. His majestic horse looked alive as it was posing next to the historic Tokeland Hotel. It is worth coming to Westport to see Jeffro and his creations.
Forgive me for posting his work, and not mine, but he doesn’t toot his own horn here as much as he should.

Jeffro is one extremely talented artist. This horse is stunningly beautiful. My house is shaped like a barn with Breyers and saddles inside so this would look especially awesome in my yard! Or even indoors.
Thank you for sharing his work here. I would love to see more. Favorited for sure! Double WOW!

Karen,
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I look at every project Jeffro puts up here. His studio is way to far from East Tennessee for me to make the trip myself, but I got a tiny peek. Thanks again.

Wow, that is a fantastic piece of work. I never heard about Jeffro till now, but I definitely have to look him up. If the horse sculpture is just a sampling, I can only imagine what else awaits. Thanks for sharing this. :)

That is a truly amazing driftwood sculpture. Being able to find the things he sees in a pile of driftwood is a gift. Given the exact same pieces of wood, I could create a bonfire but never something as beautiful as this.
