My son and I made this to go with his wedding video business. It is an old style photo booth very popular again. Few modern updates are that it has a screen so you can see what you’re pic will look like, a computer and color printer inside to print the final prints and upload them to his web site for later viewing or prints.
Cabinet grade plywood, ripped 2×4’s for the framing, trimmed with a band of poplar box jig cut for the joints. This joint is what makes the booth for him as we made a top and bottom section for transport.
The poplar band makes a rabbet that the bottom cabinet wedges into when you put them together for a snug one piece feeling cabinet that is easy to break down for moving. No latches or other mechanical items to hold the two parts together. The pics show the two pieces but both are shown upside down during our construction pics.
Took it over to my father in laws for father’s day to test and we had a ball!

Ever see the talking Photo Booth gig on the Jay Leno show… hilarious.
Nice job on a great idea. Well done.
