Well, I finaly got around to making some foot rest for the Adirondack chairs I made 12 years ago. Used cypress for the wood. Made five slats (ran out of wood) first, but I like the final 8. Also coved the bottom of the slats to better lay on the legs and made a brace for some trianglation. Have painted the original chairs a few times but I left the rests natural for now.

I hadn’t seen these matching foot rests before, they really complement the chairs and beckon, “come sit on me”. How do you like working with cypress?
