I got the inspiration for these from Cousinwill here on LJ’s. I actually glued up the blanks about a year and a half ago and finally got around to turning them last month. The first one is oak with walnut and the second is all oak except for the walnut knob. Stave construcion is a good way to use up narrow scraps that you have laying around the shop. The first one is about 6” x 3 1/2” not counting the knob and the second one is just over 5” x 3”. Both finished with Mylands. I’ll be doing more in the future with some different woods mixed in.

Oh, I really like these! Especially the striped one. Could you give a little more info about how you did them? (I guess I could look up “stave”)

Cousinwill did a blog a couple of years ago on how to make these. http://lumberjocks.com/Cousinwill/blog/18090.
I used his blog in making these.
