Quilt Rack From Wood Mag

I saw this in the latest issue of Wood and thought my wife would like this to display the quilts she made. I modified the plans some as I hated the allthread and acorn nuts. Mine is white oak with wedged dowels and shop made walnut ‘buttons’ to cover the mounting screws. Finished with shellac.

Andy, what’s not to like about this? Nice job and skillful modification. That’s a great quilt and a great quilt display rack. It has a clean look with gentle curves and angles to keep it interesting, and the oak blends in well with the existing setting. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Very clean job. Very good decision not to use all thread. May have to try one of these.

Nicely done. Any quilter would love to have one or two of these.

Thanks guys. I think there is another permutation of this in my future. My oldest daughter is expecting a baby and they are also building a new house. She thought one of these (downsized a bit) would be good in the nursery for baby blankets. The only problem is that they like pine stained with Min Wax Early American. Oh well, the customer is always right, huh?
