Made an elm and oak karate belt rack.
I don’t think enough woodworking projects are made out of elm. A truly beautiful and frustrating wood.
The elm was purchased through Mark Duginske in Merrill, Wisconsin. The belt dividers and curved pieces on top and bottom are oak to match the belt rack I made for her son.
As with all my pieces no screws were used. All wood joinery.
This was the first karate belt rack I made using this cabinet type style. The karate belts get rolled up and placed in the slots. Two additional shelves are included for pictures, medals, etc…
Elm is cool!
