I found the plans for this quilt ladder in Wood magazine a while back. I decided to make it for my mom who does a lot of quilting these days. Overall the construction is not very difficult, although with three kids it took me longer to complete than I am willing to say. I did modify the plans a bit. Instead of using connector bolts from the outside into the rungs, I used dowels to hide the joinery. I finished it off with a few coats of Waterlox. I really love that stuff. It gave the maple just the right amount of gloss and warmth. In the end my mother loves it and I am happy to be able to move on to other projects. Thanks for looking.

That turned out very well. I don’t know why Wood always has all that metal in their projects. I like your mods. Your mom makes some really nice quilts.

Nice work and it looks like Mom needs more of these ladders, beautiful quilts
Like the idea of using dowels ,connector bolts just don’t look right on this but then magazines live on advertising .
