Here is a small toy chest I made for our officiant of our wedding, who doesn’t take money but only barters. It is a plan I found online. Officially my second “real” woodworking project and learning new things each time. I may add a chain to keep the top from opening too far. Excuse the less than perfect pics taken with my phone out of laziness.

I just used a matte finish Valspar interior paint in “apple peel” color. The inside was done in an amber shellac and I put a coat of clear shellac on the outside.
