My sister has commissioned me to make a quilt rack for my niece. I felt a need to have a trial run first. Other than the dowels, all the material came from the cull rack at Home Depot. After cutting the back board, I realized it was a bit long, or the board to hold the quilt was too short. I decided to pin it on the inside since there was not room on the outside. I took a piece of dowel to my dad’s Dremel lathe and cut the pins which hold the rod in place. I still have staining and varnishing yet to go.
July 13, 2012: I declare this project finished!
