I went “burl hunting” with my brother and found a dead mesquite limb with about 4 burls on it. On one of those days when I “just had to make something,” I cut this burl from the branch, sanded down to wood, and cut the opening. It sat for a week or so, but I finally got back to it this week and finished it. I would have liked the lid to fit better, but otherwise I’m pleased.

Looks good, and I also like the finish.
