The bottom of this cabinet came to me for repair after sitting in 5 inches of water. Both the original poplar side panels were seven board glue ups. One glue joint on the right panel had failed and the others were soon to follow. I made the new poplar sides from three boards using biscuit joinery. The scroll work on the bottom front of the cabinet was warped, cracked and twisted so it had to be replaced also. The only thing I could save were the dust panels and they needed to be reglued. Not shown are the two drawers that also needed extensive repairs. Also not shown is the top three drawer cabinet that escaped the water damage. This piece must have some sentimental value for someone to pay for the extensive major reconstruction to bring it back in addition to the stain matching and refinishing still required.
