From pallet to pole holder

This is from an oak pallet. Tore it all down. Had to square everything up. Used a 2” forstner bit for the base and 1 1/4” for the top holes. Angled the top inserts so the poles won’t fall out. Rounded over the 2” holes so it is easier on the handles of the poles.

Excellent! I have been making a lot of patio/deck furniture from recycled pallet lumber myself. However, there are some slats that really aren’t going to support a lot of weight. I have been trying to think of something I can do with that wood. This is a perfect solution! Kudos! Thanks for sharing.

Love the pallet Wood and reusing verses sending to the land fill Is Great. The Oak in the Beer stein in my profile pic is from old pallets. Thanks for Sharing!!
