You are really productive with the bandsaw. Another nice box from yet another wood I have never seen. Brown maple?

Blackie,

This is nicely designed. I like the open sides…they keep it from being formula. The hidden drawers are fun and practical in that they keep the drawers from falling out when they are extended. The glue up seems to work and I like that you matched the end grain on the central pieces. Your photography improves with successive posts. Looks like you are having way too much fun in the shop. Knowing the dimensions of your work would help us as we read your posts.

Andy, I think not sure though, it all comes from the same tree? Only it’s how your local lumber supplier lables it? Here’s a link I dug up.

Blackie – Thanks for that link. It smartened me up a lot! It does all come from the same tree. I always thought of sapwood as being soft but not so according to this site. Interesting info.
