This is my work bench update, since i first made this, ice added a few things to make the work bench much more user friendly, i have a wooden vice on the right end of the bench with 4 feet of dog holes to the right of it, i also have a sliding board on the front to allow for board support from the front, a wooden dowel goes into the hole of choice and i also have a metal vice on the very left, it swings either to the front facing out or to the end so it is out of the way from the front, i have a cedar shelf mounted on the wall with a few planes and a couple of lights for when this old man needs to see better, and then as you can see, my shop mascot came walking through and left me some work shop residue…lol…no repect…no respect…...lol…..so for now im really happy with the bench and how its been serving me and my wood work needs…if you have any suggestions on how to better utilize this, please leave me your ideas in your comments…thanks so much for taking a look, and for your comments…thank you!!........grizzman

Lookin’ great, and a little homage to the grizz…......and Alaska…......at the end. Just got home from Washington, and have some pictures of the little shop there that is slowly evolving. Hope to get those up here later this week….....

Grizz,

Looks like a great space to work in and dream about. I like the dual vice concept and the easy access storage. Nice design.

Hey Jim!!! Thanks for expanding my vocabulary. I had to look up “rhykenologist.” Don’t know why I didn’t know that before now.

That’s my something new learned today. Whew! Thursday’s learning is done. Now I can relax the rest of the day.
